Terms of Service
The practical rules for accounts, subscriptions, creative ownership, and using Sonachrome responsibly.Last updated September 10, 2026Using Sonachrome
These Terms govern your use of the Sonachrome website, visual editor, cloud projects, exports, and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use.
Accounts
Keep your sign-in details secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Contact support promptly if you believe someone else has access.
Your music and projects
You retain your existing rights in the music, artwork, text, and other content you add to Sonachrome. You must have the permissions needed to use that content and to publish any videos you export.
Sonachrome does not claim ownership of your exported visuals. You may use and monetize exports for personal or commercial work, subject to any rights that apply to the music, artwork, branding, or other material you provide.
Sonachrome technology
The Sonachrome software, visual engine, interface, branding, and generation systems remain protected intellectual property. Free and Pro users receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the service under these Terms and their plan’s limits. This does not transfer ownership of the software.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or interfere with Sonachrome’s software or service, except where the law expressly allows it. These restrictions do not prevent the personal or commercial use of exported visuals described above.
Free and Pro access
Free accounts include the features and limits shown on the pricing page. Sonachrome Pro is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel. The price and billing interval are shown before checkout. Stripe processes payments.
Canceling Pro: You can cancel from Account → Manage billing. Cancellation stops future renewals, and Pro stays available until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Deleting your account: This permanently deletes your Sonachrome account and cloud projects and cancels any active Pro subscription immediately. You lose access to Pro even if your paid billing period has not ended.
Refunds and billing corrections: These are handled as required by applicable law. Contact support@sonachrome.com if you believe a charge is incorrect.
Acceptable use
Do not use Sonachrome to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, bypass access or subscription controls, overload the service, probe security, or interfere with another person’s use. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect Sonachrome, its users, or others.
Photosensitivity and motion
Sonachrome visuals may contain flashing lights, high-contrast patterns, and rapid motion. These effects may cause discomfort or trigger seizures in susceptible viewers, including people who are unaware of their sensitivity. Stop viewing if you feel unwell and seek medical advice if symptoms occur.
Adjusting visual settings does not eliminate these risks or guarantee that a visual is safe for photosensitive viewers. If you share or publicly display visuals with flashing lights or other potentially triggering effects, provide an appropriate warning to viewers.
Service availability
Sonachrome is provided on an “as available” basis. Browser, hardware, codec, display, and operating-system differences can affect realtime performance and export support. We work to keep the service reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sonachrome is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Sonachrome’s total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid for Sonachrome during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Ending use and changes
You may stop using Sonachrome or delete your account at any time. We may update these Terms as the product or law changes. If a material update affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice when required.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@sonachrome.com.
